Bad temper - A story which i didn't know what it meant until now

😂😂 So , while flipping through some old literature books, I found this story which I didn't know the meaning, for a writer to write something , maybe a book ,does it not mean that he/she is trying to pass a message to the reader?.... I have always been advised to read books , whether it relates to my course of study or not......It sounds lame to me, when I think I can do other fun things like watching dance videos on Instagram or watching some interesting series .
